My name is Linnea Andersson - Linni to most - the founder of this company. My curiosity about mental health began in childhood and led me to study psychology, later spending over six years working directly with vulnerable communities. I’m now a certified social media manager and am grateful to be able to combine these areas of my life to continue working in the mental health sector whilst doing what I love to do behind the scenes of social media.
I believe therapy has the potential to be genuinely life-enhancing, yet many people are unsure how to access it or whether it is right for them. My own experience of therapy led me to reflect on how I could help reduce some of these barriers. This reflection became The Social Connection - a way of supporting access to therapy by helping people connect with practitioners, while contributing to more open and informed conversations about mental health online.

Who am I?

Social media is often associated with influencers and luxe lifestyles, but for private practitioners it can be a thoughtful way to help connect with clients when they need support. Many people who could benefit from therapy simply don’t know where to start and having clear, accessible information can make that first step feel less daunting.
With so much time now spent online, social media offers practical ways to increase visibility. This can support practitioners who are building a client base, growing an existing one, specialising in particular areas (for example, neurodivergence), or wanting to connect with clients in a way that feels more aligned with their values. It also creates opportunities to share knowledge with communities and encourage someone to take their first step towards reaching out for support, even if that is initially just a friend and not a professional. You don’t need a large following to use social media effectively - what matters is clarity, consistency, and communicating your approach in a way that feels authentic to you.

Why choose TSC?
